Project Apparition will be a cooperative paranormal investigation game. The aim of the game is to take on missions to investigate and remove ghosts from haunted places.
Ghosts, will not be static, they are dynamic, from their appearance to their behaviours. Of course within the paranormal world exists specific types of Ghosts, and we want to relay them in an authentic and engaging way.
Ghosts in Project Apparition will learn, grow and form psuedo opinions of the players and their actions, they were people once, and this will show through how the ghosts behave and react.
We are all about the Ghosts, and how they impact the players, and how the players impact them, but we have a ton of other planned features, to make this a fully comprehensive, dynamic and immersive experience, look below for the feature rundown and our vision for them.
There are lots of things planned for Project Apparition. We have spent an immense amount of time planning, and we would like to outline the three pillars that we want to gear everything around.
IMMERSION
We are extremely passionate about the horror theme, and we are dedicated to delivering an immersive experience that does not rely solely on jump scares and extreme imagery or concepts. We want to tap into the human psychology of what makes us unnerved or 'creeped' out, rather than just shock therapy.
COMMUNITY
We want to intergrate community directly into how we play the game, solo play or co-op, players can still be part of a larger community. Players will be able to share statistics, collectables, and even experiences like photos with comments. We want to be able to run all sorts of events, seasonal or adhoc, we want to build a thriving and loving community.
AUTHENTICITY
Horror is relatable becasue we pull from reality, the very nature of existence, every faith or culture has ghosts, or spirits from their past or present. We want to respect that, by delivering and portraying them in as authentic way as possible. We have done huge amounts of research and have compiled it within our own easy to access in-house compendium, this of course is private to protect player discovery.
